Whitney Hill is the co-founder and CEO of Snap ADU, an accessory dwelling unit (ADU or “granny flat”) construction company serving San Diego.Snap ADU has become the leading builder of ADUs in San Diego as part of a broader shift in how California is thinking about generating affordable housing. Under Whitney’s leadership, Snap ADU has improved transparency in the market by publishing ADU plans and build prices, along with the cost to build an ADU, including plans, permitting, sitework, and construction. Whitney and her partner Mike Moore have grown Snap ADU to $15M during the pandemic, embracing technology to make it faster and more efficient to design and build an ADU. Her company assesses feasibility – for free – to help homeowners determine what it will require to add an ADU within budget.
